DSDress Yourself

I like dressing up. I don't like paying for things. Clothes are things.

I like pretending I have a lot of money. I like pretending I have a lot of clothes.

This site, Looklet would help me live out those fantasies, but unfortunately Men's clothing isn't included. I didn't think it would be right to DSDeny any ladies that may have stumbled upon the link, so enjoy.

(If you're a guy, you can probably also have fun coming up with outfits. I won't tell anybody.)

PeDSDazos and InsideOut [reup]

Sup? Here are two pictures I uploaded to Facebook earlier. The quality on FB is horrendous, so I thought I'd show you all here.

I called the first one PeDSDazos as "Pedazos" means "pieces" in Spanish. (Plus the word has D in it, which was mainly what I was looking for :-p)

And the second one is InsideOut, pretty much based on how it looks.
I'll include the original stock pictures by the wonderful JaneJayne. Probably my favorite stock artist/models ever. (After Lauren, that is)

DSD Presents: The Gospel of Lord Forreal [Re-up]

I thought I would re-up this mixtape that I spent forever trying to make. I think it turned out pretty well. If you're a big Neptunes-head like me, you've probably heard all of Disc 1. Disc 2 has some hard to find stuff as well as remixes by artists that aren't the Neptunes, but are trying to emulate their style and doing it well.

While I was making this mixtape cover art, I thought to myself: "Why make the mixtape square if there's not going to be an actual disc inside?" Boom! Rectangle. That's how it happened, don't let it throw you off.

I posted this on FB, but I'm not sure if you've all seen it in full quality. I also made some small edits to the previous version.

I decided to make this picture as a practice design because I saw these bomb ass party flyers on DeviantArt and was wondering what made mine so inferior. Looking back, I think I could have done so much better on previous flyers/invitations.

So I tried to look at as many artists as I could in order to see what parts of my technique I could improve on.

I like how the colors turned out. I can't completely say it was on purpose, but it definitely wasn't an accident either. :-p

In any case, I originally started this blog so that I could work on you guys's pictures, not stock models and stuff. Aside from the fact that it's against my anti-creepiness policy, I can't use pictures off Facebook even if you give me your permission because Facebook compresses images and absolutely rapes the quality if you have any pictures you want me to fix up, e-mail me a high quality version (straight off the camera or your pc) at cjosn14@gmail.com

DSDecides: Pick your Five

I have to say, the pick your 5 application really made me sad. I was going to make my own "Pick Your 5", but I noticed there was no set category, so I didn't do it. Then I thought, "That's what I have a blog for :-D."


Brands with the most swag.This means anything. Not just clothes or shoes. Anything with a unique identity.



1. Absolut

Everyone has seen an Absolut ad. They have their own distinct style and each ad has its own personality. It might just be the artist in me, but I actually enjoy seeing Absolut ads when I'm reading through magazines.

2. Playboy

I've never even opened a Playboy magazine, but I love the logo so much that it's the lone poster in my room. The logo, in this situation, has transcended the brand and taken on its own meaning.


3. Supra

This is the only brand of shoes that consistently makes me actually make audible excitation noises like "Eep!" and "Holy shit" and "ughhhhh".

So raw.


4. Bacardi

I like the Bacardi logo, but its the bottle design that gets me. They're like... art. I (don't) use them to decorate my desk (because I'm not 21).


5. Lacoste

I don't think I own any Lacoste. I will when I start making that cakedoughducatpaper tho. It's something about mixing normally bland preppy clothes with bright ass colors and making yourself look classy, but still cool. Throw on a Lacoste polo with a matching fitted and sneakers and you have a style that you can't quite put a name on. That's swag.
